Entry 7(week 6)

Instructional design

Hi guys. As for this week post, I am going to write about Instructional Design. Do you know what is it about? Have any ideas?

Instructional Design means a systematic process that is employed to develop education and training program in a consistent and reliable fashion (Reiser, Dempsey, 2007). Basically it is about creating instructional experiences which make the acquisition of knowledge and skill more efficient and effective. In simpler words, creating something for the sake of learning and make the learning process become more interesting. In order to do that, you need to know the learning needs and instructional design models.

Addie Model

Figure above shows Addie Model, one of the instructional design model. ADDIE model is basically a systematic, step-by-step framework used by instructional designers to ensure that the design process is in structured way.

1. Analysis - identifies the objective, learners' level of education and learners' need
2. Design - develop plans and strategies to achieve goals
3. Development - create and assemble content based on blueprint
4. Implementation - develop procedures
5. Evaluation - evaluate the impact of the courseware

After the lesson, we have received a task to create a poster about another model that we learned in class. Me and my friend did a poster on ASSURE Model. So, here I have attached the poster.

Here is general information about ASSURE Model.
ASSURE model is another example that you can follow in order to create a fun lesson.

ASSURE is a acronym that stands for the steps in the model.
So, the rest you can read by yourself💪

In conclusion, this topic is about creating and designing lesson in more effective and interesting way. It makes the online medium effective in meeting learners' needs and help learners make efficient use of the resources.

Bye guys!
